Jacob & Co. was founded in 1981 by Jacob Arabo in New York City. Jacob's passion for jewellery began when he was a young boy growing up in Russia. Just after immigrating to the United States with his family, he enrolled in jewellery design school hoping to develop his natural talents and he quickly rose to the top of the class. Jacob opened a small booth in New York's bustling diamond district and began designing for a number of jewellery brands and private clients.

The story continues : in the mid-1990's a R&B singer named Faith Evans stumbled upon Jacob's shop while looking for jewellery for her upcoming CD cover. Completely taken in by Jacob's creations, she quickly returned with her husband, the late Notorious BIG a well established Rap Artist; the couple became loyal customers and recommended Jacob to a host of their high profile friends and thus created a large interest throughout the music industry.

The Jacob & Co. Five Time Zone watch is literally "The Watch to Watch" boasting a celebrity list of owners from Gisele Bundchen, P. Diddy, Enrique Iglesias, Justin Timberlake, David and Victoria Beckham, Sir Elton John, Karl Lagerfield, Naomi Campbell, 50 Cent, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Bono, Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles, Jessica Simpson...... the list goes on.
