Bremont’s relationship with Jaguar first started in 2010 when the company developed a special analogue clock to sit in the dashboard of the Jaguar C-X75. Since 2010 Bremont have continued to develop unique pieces for Jaguar and their huge fanbase. In 1963 the lightweight E-type racer was born with just 12 that came off the production line. Celebrated for its win at Sebring in the GT4 class the infamous ‘Old English White’ with bold red and blue stripes is celebrated with the release of the MKII Chronograph.
The MKII carries influences from the car is was inspired by. The white dial with flashes of red and the blue leather strap combo harks back to the vehicle that won one of the foremost endurance races of its era. Enzo Ferrari once described the E-Type as the most beautiful car and this watch certainly is a fitting tribute.
Using Bremont’s patented Trip-Tick® construction, the steel is hardened with a polished finish and a middle case barrel finish with DLC treatment. An integrated flat crystal showcases the stunning movement that is fitted with a gorgeous rota that is a perfect replica of the E-Type’s iconic steering wheel.
Encased within the watch is the chronometer certified movement, Swiss made and assembled to Bremont’s specification in the UK, the calibre 13 1⁄4’’’ BE-50AE automatic is a chronograph that is functioned with the two push buttons adjacent to the crown of the watch.
One of our particular favourite additions to the watch is the simple yet inspired detailing on the crown itself that matches the thread of the same original Dunlop tyre used on the E-Type.
