Bremont Watches first announced limited-edition watch of 2020 is inspired by a man who has seemed to have achieved the impossible. Bremont ambassador Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja MBE embarked on a world record attempt to reach the summit of Earth’s 14 tallest mountains in less than 7 months. Completed in just 6 months and 6 days, Nims amazing feat smashed the previous record that stood for nearly 8 years. The ‘Bremont Project Possible’ is the perfect tribute that Bremont can create to honour such accomplishments.
A limited-edition release of just 300 case numbers, Bremont have taken their superb divers watch, the ‘Supermarine 500’ as the base of the design and elaborated on certain features to create a standout look. The play between the dark blue dial and bronze is a unique look not seen in a Bremont before.
The bronze is featured as the bezel of the watch, the dark gold-like tones of this metal pairs well with the blue. Bronze over time naturally changes colour with a ‘patina effect’; a finish that will be unique to each watch adding layers of different tones. A ceramic blue insert is fitted into the body of the bezel to pair with the dial. Bronze also can be found on the dial with the hands and numerals keeping a running theme throughout.
Fully mechanical with COSC certification, Bremont’s Modified calibre 11 ¼’’’ BE-93-2AV movement is the first GMT functioning calibre to be fitted within a 43mm Supermarine trip-tick case. Another distinguishing feature can be found on the exhibition case back that reveals the heights of the 14 ‘DEATH ZONE’ mountains in the order that Nims summited them.
Equipped with a 22mm Khaki vintage strap with side stitches you have another opportunity to buy into the growing history of this famous British watch brand and their famous limited-editions. Supplied with Bremont’s unique box and leather case this watch will also come with a 3-year international warranty.
