Released as part of Clogau’s 2019 Spring Summer collection, The Two Queens Ruby Locket features at the centre of this exquisite locket a sparkling red ruby which acts as a tribute to the Queen of heart; two rubies feature on the chain too. Lewis Carroll’s ‘Queen of Hearts’ was inspired by two famous queens; Margaret, of The House of Lancaster and Queen Victoria. In ‘Through the Looking Glass’, Alice is also crowned Queen.
As with each Clogau piece of jewellery these contain rare Welsh gold and crafted in sterling silver. Clogau take great pride in being forward thinking continuously updating their beautiful range through new concepts, built around stories and meaning relevant to their world. These pieces are inspired by the magical adventures of Lewis Carroll’s Alice. Alice Liddell, the young girl who inspired the author, first visited Llandudno in 1861, staying at the Tudno Villa apartments, now the St. Tudno Hotel. The Liddell family also had a holiday home at Penmorfa on the West Shore.
Complete with official Clogau packaging, two-year warranty and hanging freely from an elegant 22 inch silver chain (with jump rings at 18 inch and 20 inch).
