The start of 2020 brings our first announced limited edition of this decade; The Oris Lake Baikal Limited Edition. Oris have grown a grand reputation for the handsome blue dial aquis’s, that take an actual tone of the body of water that the piece represents. As with each piece, Oris aim to raise money and awareness to the lake that is so important to our ecosystem.
Lake Baikal is the deepest freshwater lake in the world, situated in Siberia. Oris’s mission to bring Change for the Better continues with the release of a high-performance diver’s watch made in partnership with the Lake Baikal Foundation.
A limited-edition that comes with certification and special presentation box, this watch is great buy for anyone or to add to a collection. A prominent feature of this edition is the case back with a special decoration, inspired by the frozen ice of Lake Baikal during the winter, and engraved with the limited-edition number. There will be 1,999 examples, a number chosen to mark the historic year that Russia adopted the Baikal Law protecting the lake.
Oris have created this watch using their well-reviewed ‘Aquis’ as the base template. The aquis is a sturdy diver watch that meets every criterion you would expect out of any swiss divers watch, but a fantastic price, there is certainly a lot of bang for your buck. The watch is so robust it can tackle day to day life with ease, in and out of the water.
Housed inside the 43.5mm case is Oris’s 733, base SW 200-1*, automatic winding movement. With a power reserve of 38 hours, date window and 28’800 A/h, 4 Hz the movement is a testament to Oris’s value for money. Completing the look with a gorgeously unique blue dial and ceramic bezel, this watch is both good looking and practical.
As with all limited editions from Oris, this watch will be quick sell out worldwide, with only a couple of hundred expected in the UK. If you would like any more information, please call 01772 566380 or try our Live Chat service.
