From the Peter Jackson the Jeweller pre-owned collection, we present to you this great example of the Rolex ‘Explorer II’. Fully refurbished and serviced, we only sell pre-owned watches that pass our strict quality control, examined and hand selected by managing director Peter Jackson.
This 40mm variant of the Explorer II is rare sporty piece. The flat white dial sits in a ‘Oystersteel’ case, Oystersteel is part of the 904L steel family revered for its resistance to corrosion and finish when polished. The 24-hour feature on the bezel helps to read the GMT functionality of the timepiece.
Equipped to the watch is the ‘Oyster’ bracelet, originally designed in the late 1930’s, the comfortable three-piece links is the pioneer of bracelets for watches and instantly recognisable to the Rolex brand. Fitted to the watch is Rolex’s folding clasp with extra adjustment points to help fine tune the fitting on the wearer’s wrist.
The Oyster Perpetual mechanical movement is self-winding, constantly regaining power reserve from the movement of the wearer whilst on the wrist. The movement is of such standard it recognised as ‘Superlative Chronometer’ and has been recently fully serviced.
A sapphire crystal covers the dial of the watch and is scratch resistant and features the famous bubble hovering over the date window to magnify this feature.
