FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is permanent jewellery?

A length of chain seamlessly joined without the need for a clasp or the need to be taken on and off. Symbolic of never ending partnerships.

Is welding safe?

Absolutely yes! Our Evermore team are fully trained to make sure you have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience. If you have any specific concerns, please just ask!

Do I need an appointment?

Booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment during busier times. For those who prefer to be spontaneous, we will try to accommodate walk-ins whenever we can.

Is there an age restriction?

The minimum age is 10. Anyone 16 or under must bring a responsible adult with them.

Can I buy permanent Evermore as a gift for someone else?

Absolutely!! We offer a specialised Evermore Gift Package which can be tailored to suit the person you’re buying it for – come and chat with us to discuss the options!

What is gold filled jewellery?

Gold filled jewellery is made from a base metal or silver that is then bonded with a solid layer of gold. The finish is thicker and more durable than traditional gold-plating techniques.

What about airport security?

Evermore chains are high quality non-magnetic precious metals and will not set off metal detectors at airports.

Can welded jewellery be removed?

Yes! If for any reason you need to remove your Evermore items please call in and one of our team will arrange this for you. Alternatively, most of the styles can be cut at home with a pair of sharp scissors or cutters.

Items can be re-welded at a later date, or we also offer a selection of clasps which can be added instead if you decide you need more flexibility.

Can I wear more than one piece of permanent jewellery?

Yes! Yes! Yes! The more the merrier we say! Chains can be stacked however you like, meaning you can truly show off your individual style and personality!

What if my chain breaks?

‘Permanent’ refers to the welded nature of your Evermore jewellery so it has no clasp. It is, however a delicate and precious jewellery item and must be treated with care. If any fault should develop, this would be covered under a 12 month guarantee. If your Evermore jewellery should break due to wear and tear, we’ll do our best to repair it for you.

Please note: *Accidental damage not covered by warranty*

Do you offer repairs or adjustments?

Yes! Simply call in and see us and tell us what you need!

Who shouldn’t get permanent jewellery?

Permanent jewellery isn’t suitable for anyone with a pacemaker due to the nature of the welding process.

Whilst allergies to Gold, Silver or Platinum are extremely rare, permanent jewellery may not be suitable for anyone particularly sensitive to these metals or their alloys.

Can I return my welded jewellery?

Each piece of Evermore is made to measure and personal for each customer and therefore we are unable to offer returns or exchanges on these items.

If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us at office@peterjackson.co.uk where we would be delighted to help you further.

Would permanent jewellery need to be removed for MRI scans or medical appointments?

Silver, Gold and Platinum are not magnetic and so would not impact an MRI scan. If a medical professional asks you to remove it during an appointment, simply cut the chain using sharp scissors or cutters and then bring it back in to store for it to be re welded free of charge.

Can I swim in my Evermore jewellery?

Yes! Just make sure to rinse in freshwater afterwards (which the shower would do for you anyway!) After swimming in chlorinated water, we also advise to wipe the chain with a specialised cleaning cloth to remove traces of any chemicals.

Cleaning product are available to buy in store so if you need guidance choosing or would like a demonstration, please just ask a member of our Evermore team!

How do I clean my Evermore jewellery?

In order to keep your Evermore items looking their best, we advise regular cleaning with a specialised cleaning cloth or liquid cleaner.

Cleaning products are available to buy in store and online so if you need guidance choosing or would like a demonstration, please just ask a member of our Evermore team!
