Pioneering for nearly 200 years
The rich history of Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A, dates back nearly 200 years to 1832 founded by Auguste Agassiz. By 1867 factory watches bear the ‘Longines’ name and the famed ‘Winged Hourglass’ logo that is still emblazoned on all watches today.
A long association with the equestrian world dates to 1869 enhancing a greater legacy for Longines. Many chronograph calibres and automated instruments bearing the Longines name have been seen at racing, eventing and dressage events around the world.
In 2022 the Commonwealth Games where hosted in Birmingham and as the Official Partner and Timekeeper, Longines and their branding was extremely visible to one of the worlds greatest sporting events.
