Amy Johnson; an inspiration to the Bremont brothers for flying her DH-60 Moth from England to Australia in 1930 is who the SOLO-34 AJ watch range is named after. The classic collection carries many of the synonymous Bremont features we all know and love whilst carrying their own personal stylings.
Something not seen in many Gents Bremont’s, this watch has an open case back. The open case allows you to see the BE-92AV automatic movement which includes 25 jewels. The open case is constructed with sapphire crystal, also applied to the dial which has been treated with nine layers of anti-reflective coating for increased legibility.
A feature which Bremont fans will know and love is the signature Trip-Tick case construction which uses three-piece case construction to form the watch rather than two, due to this formation the case lugs are allowed to sit in a lower position to which they would on any other watch. The case lugs then appear to melt over the timepiece which enables a much greater level of comfort.
Polished steel adorns the case, bezel and pin-buckle which is hardened to 2,000 Vickers as a tribute to a technique used widely in the aerospace industry. The polished effect is a fitting companion to the black dial and leather strap which enhance the stainless-steel hands and hour markers to provide easy viewing at all times. The black theme is also present in the DLC treated case barrel which adds a unique element to many Bremont watches.
With a date window situated at 6 hours, the timepiece operates a hours, minutes and seconds function and is waterproof to 100 metres. A pin buckle with the Bremont logo embossed is a classical finishing touch to this stunning timepiece which is designed to withstand the test of time.
