Announced at Watches & Wonders 2024, Oris showcased to the world a updated version of their ever popular Aquis. A timepiece that is revered for its industry beating price, the Aquis is the most important watch to Oris and it’s no surprise that after so many years when the time has come for a refresh, the Aquis has undergone tweaks and refinements rather than wholesale changes. A little slimmer, a little smoother and a little more comfortable in the bracelet, this generation of Aquis will sell just as well as the last.
This Aquis model is styled with a blue dial (01 733 7789 4135-07 8 23 04PEB) with matching ceramic bezel and is the ethos of a ‘divers’ watch in style. Rhodium plated indexes decorate the hands and hour markers which are tipped with superluminova; a substance which glows in the dark and ensures readability whilst also maintaining a fashionable and traditional style.
Produced in 316L stainless steel the 43.5mm, multi-piece case is robust for all the changes of everyday wear. The case has a screwed down stainless-steel back and a steel screw in crown, giving 300 meters water resistance. You can also view the movement through mineral glass from the case back, and see the famous red rotor used in all Oris mainline watches.
Designed to sit flatter on the wrist a premium steel bracelet matches this watch perfectly with a stainless-steel folding clasp ensuring that your watch is safe whilst you’re wearing it in and out of the water. Oris have worked on the case lugs to bring the profile of the watch closer to the wrist rather than sitting to high.
An automatic movement is the powerhouse for this watch, equipped with 26 jewels that make all parts of the movement work much more efficiently, the model also has an added benefit of a 38-hour power reserve which is perfect for any casual watch wearer.
