Having created more than 270 unique calibres since its inception, Oris had a clear brief with its Movement Creation Programme which is to be distinctly Oris. This means purely mechanical and Swiss Made, with unique functions and performance. Oris are proud to announce a new high-performance, hand-wound movement: Calibre 473.
The new Oris big crown Calibre 473 breathes life into their signature design, the iconic big crown pointer date. Built on the same base as the Oris Calibre 403 the Calibre 473 has hour, minute, small seconds, and pointer date hands. The most impressive feature is the five-day power reserve, now shown by a 120-hour power reserve indicator which is visible through the watch’s sapphire crystal case back. With elevated levels of anti-magnetism Oris Calibre 473 is highly resistant, highly accurate and low maintenance
Protected by domed sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating is a stunning blue dial with contrasting white Arabic numerals and detailing. For increased readability in low-light settings the indices, numbers and hands are coated with Super-Lumi-Nova. The pointer date features the classic red marker and the Oris logo sits at 12 o’clock. Framed with a 38mm multi-piece stainless steel case the timepiece is complete with a screw-down crown.
Equipped to the watch is an olive brown strap which is crafted from sustainably sourced deer leather and produced by Oris’s Swiss partner Cervo Voltane. The strap is complete with a sophisticated Oris developed stainless-steel butterfly clasp fastening with fine adjustment.
