A watch created in partnership with social enterprise ‘Bracenet’, Oris have taken their ever-popular divers watch the ‘Aquis’ and created this special edition watch (01 733 7730 4137-07 8 24 05PEB) with beautiful green and blue tone dials all with unique patterns made from recycled ‘ghost nets’ from the sea.
The Bracenet is an exceptional watch standing out from the crowd thanks to its kaleidoscopic dial. Taking ghost nets from the sea and supplied by Bracenet, small cuttings of white, blue and green are gently warmed until they melt into the raw material. As they cool, they harden into a thin sheet of material. This is then cut to size, planed, and sanded down until it’s just 0.3mm thick. The material contains no additives, fillers, or glues. Oris’s 43.5mm Aquis is used as the body of the watch. The case is robust and designed to withstand the challenges of life with a sturdy bezel. The watch is a diver’s timepiece, water resistant up to 300 metres. A screw-down crown ensures water is kept from within the device, whilst domed sapphire crystal prevents the glass from wear and tear.
With every Oris Bracenet is the Aquis linked bracelet and folding clasp that we can adjust to anyone’s wrist size. Also supplied is an Oris presentation case and their 3-year international warranty of the Swiss automatic movement.
