TAG Heuer’s ‘Solargraph’ movement first introduced in 2022 has proven to be an extremely popular addition to the Aquaracer collection and as such the ladies 34mm size is the first big launch of this year coming out of ‘LVMH Watch Week 2024’. This model (WBP1315.BA0005) is going to be an eye catcher with a stunning turquoise, dare we say ‘Tiffany Blue’ colour.
Powered by any light source the TH50-01 solar movement, created in collaboration with TAG Heuer and La Joux-Perret, provides uninterrupted power for exceptional performance both day and night. TAG Heuer’s Solargraph movement is known for harnessing the sun, an unlimited energy source and offers many guaranteed benefits.
With the Solargraph movement, there is no need to change the watch’s battery: it is recharged by the sun or artificial light. A two-minute exposure to direct sunlight is enough to power the watch for an entire day. Once fully charged, after less than 20 hours in the sun, the watch can run for up to six months with no light exposure. If the timepiece stops ticking, it only needs exposure to any light source for ten seconds to get it started again, thanks to its ultra-efficient recharge time.
The 34mm 316L ‘surgical grade’ steel case is complete with uni-directional bezel which frames a sunray-brushed green to blue dial which allows light to power the TH50-01 solar movement. The contrasting steel hands, and hour markers stand out against the beautiful dial. A date window is positioned at 3 o’clock, with the three-hand movement and hour markers are coated with a green and blue ‘Super-LumiNova’ to ensure increased readability in low light settings.
Key diving features on top of the bezel include the screw down crown to enhance the 200-meter water resistance. Equipped to the watch is a three-link bracelet with deployment clasp fastening, blending timeless style and reliability.
