A standout at ‘Watches & Wonders 2024’ the biggest watch shows in the world, TAG Heuer continue to celebrate 60 years of ‘Carrera’ with their ‘Glass Box’ Carrera’s now adding the ‘Panda’ style (CBS2216.BA0041) into the collection. An iconic look and often a hot seller, the Panda stylings are revered for their colour combo and dial configuration, a classic in any watch collection.
One would argue that next to the blue Monaco Chronograph, the Panda Carrera’s are TAG Heuer’s most beloved watch. The simple 2-sub dial arrangement of the chronograph on the dial in black popping from a silvery white background gives the watch it’s Panda look. Little flecks of red add just a hint of colour inside the Glass Box that comes in the form of domed sapphire crystal that in-cases both the dial and black tachymeter bezel.
The Calibre TH20-00 is TAG’s latest upgrade of their Heuer 02 movement, a bi-directional winding to the oscillating weight will give better continued power to the movement to make better use of the big 80-hour power reserve. Function of Hours, Minutes, Seconds, 30 minutes counter, and a Date window are featured.
The case is formed in a 39mm size with both highly polished and brushed finishes. A Classic looking push button and branded screw-down crown enhance the traditional theme of the timepiece. A push-button folding clasp is equipped with the strap in steel too and can be fine adjusted for perfect comfort on the wrist.
