U-Boat have taken a Swiss-made electromechanical movement and has completely immersed it in a low viscosity lubricating oil, which not only creates the unique visual appeal of this watch but also allows low maintenance of the movement due to the parts being likely to succumb to friction. The oil fills the entire case front and back with a singular compensation bubble that remains just under the glass on the dial of the watch, amplifying the view of the hands greatly and freely moves around.
The case is produced in AISI 316L stainless steel. The 40mm size large structure comes to file with a domed sapphire crystal, allowing for perfect vision of the watch and an optical illusion of the absence of glass. The red metal dial is the perfect backdrop for the hands, numbers and indexes that are treated with beige superluminova.
